Copyright & Takedowns
Effective date: October 4, 2026
1. Ownership stays with creators
Writers keep the copyright to what they publish on WriteFlow. By posting, they grant us the limited licence described in our Terms of Service to host and display that content. If you did not create it and do not have the rights to it, do not post it.
2. Reporting infringement
If you believe content on WriteFlow infringes your copyright, email support@getwriteflow.com with the subject “Copyright takedown notice” and include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- The exact URL(s) of the material you claim is infringing, enough for us to locate it.
- Your contact details (name, address, phone, email).
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are the copyright owner or authorised to act for them.
3. What we do
We review complete notices promptly and aim to remove or disable access to the identified material within 3 business days of receiving a valid notice. We may share the notice with the poster. Repeat infringers lose their account.
4. Counter-notices
If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, email us with “Counter-notice” in the subject and include the removed content’s URL, your signature, consent to your contact information being shared with the complainant, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal was a mistake. Where required by law, we forward valid counter-notices to the complainant and may restore the content if they do not pursue legal action.
5. Other IP concerns
Trademark or other IP reports use the same inbox — describe the work, the allegedly infringing content, and your relationship to the rights. Misrepresentations in a notice or counter-notice can create liability, so please be accurate.
